Discover the Greenwood Muse

An ensemble of instrumental and vocal performers from South Central PA
who, since 1986, have been making each performance a small piece of living
Medieval and Renaissance history. Their repertoire consists of the music
of France, England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the Middle East.
In addition to concerts, the consort's members, garbed in period dress, have
performed at Renaissance gatherings, weddings, museums, festivals, private
parties, historical societies, including First Night York, First Night Carlisle,
York Riverwalk Festival, Fort Hunter, Pennsylvania State Archives, William
Penn Museum, and the Wednesday Club.

The consort's instruments include:
recorders, crumhorns, Celtic harps, various psalteries, cello, hammered
dulcimer, guitar, Spanish guitar, lute, vihuela, viola de gamba, Renaissance flute,
hurdy gurdy, rauschpfeife, shawm, bombarde, violin, and assorted percussion
(bodhran, drums, dum-becs, tambourines, and other rhythm pieces.)
